About Our Club

The Mankato Curling Club is located at 600 Hope St. in Mankato Minnesota. The club has 5 sheets, a locker room, a kitchen, men's and women's bathrooms, and 2 large common rooms. We have leagues 5 nights a weeks most days with two shifts starting at 6:30 and the 2nd at 8:30. We have several annual bonspiels and other curling tournaments at our club.

We believe in a strong curling etiquette and welcome and new members to the club. We love showing new people how to curl and we welcome all ages to curl. Our youngest Curlers are in Pre-School and our oldest curlers are in their 80s. Feel free to stop by the club any night during the winter league and see what is going on.

We also have a very strong group of expert level curlers. The US National Champions in 2010 were from our Club. They also placed 3rd in the World Championships. We have some great junior curling as well that travel all across the country to compete in junior competitions. We also provide lessons for junior curlers weekly and have a huge following. Our junior nights are loud and full of young people having a great time.

After our curling league nights we like to welcome our curlers to sit down and share stories, food, and beverage. Some of the best relationships have been made after our regular 8 end play. Recipes are passed to each other, tall tales are told, jokes, and other good conversation. This is how we embrace the cold winters in Minnesota, curling with our friends and family.

Feel free to drop in anytime!

Club History

In February of 1903 a paper was circulated among some men in Mankato asking who would be interested in forming a curling club.  This was followed by a meeting on September 12th, 1903 at which time a constitution and by-laws were drawn up.  The rest is history.

Eight-ends:  There have been 7 eight-ends recorded in club history.
